Jadwa September 2012 Chartbook – Construction Indicators

Jadwa Investment’s recently released Saudi Charbook for the month of September 2012 found that the Saudi economic activity in July experienced a “modest slowdown of economic activity…with indicators of consumer spending and PMI slowing on the back of a seasonal trend.” However, Jadwa notes that the “healthy underlying economic momentum remains in place.”

Below is a snapshot of the Saudi Construction indicators by Jadwa Investments. Jadwa finds that while “indicators suggested that the construction sector has got off to a strong start in 2012, seasonal factors brought cement sales and newly opened letters of credit for building materials down in July. Nonetheless, we expect an upward trend in the upcoming months.”
