HRH King Salman will visit the United States in September.

The King’s visit will be the first since the late King Abdullah visited the United States in 2010.

In May, King Salman was invited to a summit at Camp David, but chose to send as his representatives Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman instead.

Saudi Arabia’s new foreign minister and former ambassador to the United States Adel Al-Jubeir will accompany the King, along with other saudi officials and ministers.

***Correction: This article originally stated that King Salman’s visit to Washington would be the first by a sitting King since 2005. A reader informed SUSTG that King Abdullah visited Washington in 2008 and again in 2010.
