Oil prices rise 2% in early trading as tensions in the Middle East mount
International benchmark Brent crude gained 1.5%, or $1.07, to trade at $69.67 per barrel. Earlier in the session Brent hit a high of $70.74. U.S. West Texas Intermediate climbed 1.3%, or 80 cents, to $63.85 per barrel. The session high was $64.72.
