Saudi students in the USA and others on social media are mourning Abdullah Abdullatif Alkadi, whose body was found in Palm Desert, California alongside a freeway more than a month after he disappeared.
The 23 year old California State University, Northridge student was an electrical engineering student on the King Abdullah Scholarship Program. His brother Ahmed was also a student at CSUN.
According to Reuters, more information will be released at a news conference set for Monday, “because the investigation was at a ‘crucial juncture.'”
Speaking from Saudi Arabia last month, Alkadi’s cousin Mohammad Alomair said his family was “devastated.” Alkadi was like any other college kid, his cousin said, “into cars, making new friends. We are very devastated here. We just hope justice will be served.”
