Saudi Arabia has the highest proportion of mobile phone users in the world with 188 per cent, followed by Vietnam and Oman in the second and third places respectively, according to a recent study.
The study which was conducted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) indicated that this percentage is by far the highest when compared to the other Gulf countries which in turn filled advanced positions in the list with Oman being ranked second with a rate of 165 per cent, followed by Kuwait (160 per cent) and the UAE (145 per cent).
