HRH King Salman and other top Saudi leaders met in Riyadh with four visiting U.S. Senators ahead of a scheduled visit by U.S. President Barack Obama in April.
The delegation included ranking Senate Foreign Relations Committee member Ben Cardin, D-M.D., and included Democratic Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts, Republican Sen. Cory Gardner of Colorado and Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon.
The delegation also visited with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, according to the SPA.
HRH King Salman received the delegation at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh.
President Obama is set to visit Saudi Arabia on April 21, and will attend a GCC summit.
Undersecretary of State, Richard Stengel, is also currently in Riyadh to meet with senior Saudi officials to discuss cooperation to counter violent extremism.
