Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Khalid al-Falih said in a tweet he had discussed the state of the oil market Perry on Monday in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Reuters reports.

“We also discussed the Kingdom’s efforts to develop technologies to reduce carbon emissions, energy efficiency and technical cooperation opportunities between the two countries,” he added in the tweet.

Bloomberg reports Secretary Rick Perry is “pressing ahead with efforts to strike a deal that would allow U.S. companies such as Westinghouse Electric Co. build nuclear reactors in Saudi Arabia,” although such a deal would have to be reached with a so-called 123 Agreement that will likely face Congressional opposition.
