Saudi Arabia’s air defense forces shot down two “weaponized drones” launched by Houthis from Yemen toward the city of Khamis Mushait, a spokesman for the Arab Coalition supporting Yemen’s legitimate government said early Tuesday.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and carried by Arab News, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki said the attack was part of the continuing attempt by “Houthi terrorists” to target civilian installations in Saudi Arabia.

No damage or casualties were reported.
The SPA added that the Saudi-led coalition was intensifying air raids on Houthi positions in the northern Yemeni province of Hajjah.
Last month, the Saudi air defenses shot down a bomb-laden drone deployed by Houthi rebels that targeted Jazan airport, close to the southern border with Yemen, the coalition said.
Khamis Mushait is a city in southern Saudi Arabia near the border of Yemen, but still roughly 50 miles from the border.
