Saudi Arabia will finance treatment for anyone infected with the coronavirus in the Kingdom, the health minister said on Monday, as Saudi’s total cases reached 1453, according to Reuters.
The kingdom has also registered eight deaths.
“We are all in the same boat,” Saudi Arabia’s health minister, Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah, told a news conference, adding that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was overseeing containment efforts “night and day,” according to Reuters.
Saudi Arabia is combatting the spread of the Coronavirus with some of the most wide-ranging measures, including a nationwide curfew starting at 7pm locally across the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia has also prohibited travel by individuals between the 13 governorates.
Last week, King Salman chaired an extraordinary G20 meeting to discuss a global response to the spread of the Coronavirus.
