Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative (FII) will take place from 29-31 October in Riyadh, the event’s official Twitter page said in an announcement.
Dubbed “Davos in the Desert,” the FII brings together world leaders, investors and innovators will explore the opportunities, trends, and challenges shaping the global investment landscape. Attendees will gather to “continue to discuss the role of companies, governments and global institutions in working together to achieve prosperity and growth in the long term,” according to reports.
The event will be the third installment since launching in 2017, held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and hosted by the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund.
More than 135 speakers who represented more than 140 different institutions attended the 2018 conference. Attendance last year was estimated in the thousands, despite some executives having pulled out of attending in the aftermath of the Jamal Khashoggi murder in Istanbul.
