The FIFA Series: Saudi Arabia A will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from March 21–26, 2024. The event will feature two groups, including Cambodia, Equatorial Guinea, Guyana, and Cape Verde. The series is designed to help national teams that do not often play teams from other confederations, and FIFA will cover the teams’ travel costs. There will be no trophies or prize money.
This FIFA Series event is part of ongoing collaboration between the Saudi and international football federations, aimed at enhancing the global football landscape. It aligns with FIFA’s developmental strategies, particularly focusing on national team advancement and providing ample opportunities for their technical growth.
The first group, FIFA Series: Saudi Arabia A, will include teams from Cape Verde (Confederation of African Football), Cambodia (Asian Football Confederation), Equatorial Guinea (Confederation of African Football), and Guyana (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football)
The second group, FIFA Series: Saudi Arabia B, will include Bermuda (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football), Brunei Darussalam (Asian Football Confederation), Guinea (Confederation of African Football), and Vanuatu (Oceania Football Confederation).
Matches will be played at the King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sport City Stadium
The Kingdom has recently been the venue for a variety of major tournaments, including the FIFA Club World Cup, the Spanish and Italian Super Cups, and the West Asian Women’s Championship. It has announced it will hold the Asian Cup 2027, leading up to its bid for the FIFA World Cup 2034.
