The Future Investment Initiative (FII) kicked off today at the Ritz Carlton, Riyadh with a standing room only crowd despite an exodus of CEOs and other top executives in recent weeks.
The PIF-organized event went forward as planned despite questions regarding the event’s timing, and saw a large crowd at the start of the event. The event runs for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman attended the event, sitting in the front of the crowd and touring several of the exhibitions alongside King Abdullah II of Jordan and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
The FII’s website, which once hosted a full agenda and list of speakers, now features video of the event in English and in Arabic. The FII is also live-streaming videos.
More than 20 MoUs and agreements worth in excess of $50bn were signed on Day 1 of the Future Investment Initiative summit.
