Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Washington Prince Khaled bin Salman, son of the current king and the brother of the new crown prince, gave an interview to the Washington Post‘s Lally Weymouth last week which appeared in the newspaper today.
The interview is his first as ambassador, having presented his credentials to President Trump on July 21. Prince Khaled bin Salman is a former fighter pilot and now part of what he described as “dynamic young leadership, determined to push the country forward and to diversify our economy.”
The interview, which can be accessed at this link, outlines his view of a host of issues, including the U.S.-Saudi relationship, Syria, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, and the Qatar crisis, as well as domestic issues like economic transformation, women’s rights, human rights, and the massive youth population within Saudi Arabia.
