The Saudi Press Agency reports that the CSC Globe, the world’s largest shipping vessel currently in operation has docked at the Red Sea port of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to the BBC, the ship can carry 19,100 standard 20ft containers. “That’s estimated to be enough space for 156 million pairs of shoes, 300 million tablet computers or 900 million standard tins of baked beans,” the news service said. Put another way, the ship is longer than four football fields.
