Saudi authorities seize multi-million dollar haul of narcotics
Saudi authorities have seized a massive haul of 1.2 million Captagon tablets, state news agency SPA reported. Customs officials at the Halat Ammar border crossing found the pills using x-ray technology and sniffer dogs. The pills were hidden inside a marble mixer. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) coordinated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to arrest two individuals who were supposed to receive the shipment inside the Kingdom. The drugs haul had an estimated street value of between $12 million and $30 million, according to research published in the International Addiction Review Journal, based on assumptions that users pay between $10 and $25 a pill.

Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues global humanitarian efforts
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues to provide humanitarian assistance to people in Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Jordan. KSrelief distributed 1,321 food parcels and 1,321 hygiene kits on Wednesday in the city of Afrin in Aleppo Governorate, benefiting 7,926 individuals. The assistance is part of a project entailing providing aid to individuals affected by the earthquake in northern Syria.

Saudi Security forces arrest 21,971illegals in a week
Those who were arrested included 13,186 violators of the Residency Law, 5,427 violators of the Border Security Law, and 3,358 violators of the Labor Law, the Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday. The total number of people who were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom accounted for 1,421, of whom 34 percent were Yemeni nationals, 64 percent Ethiopian nationals, and two percent belonged to other nationalities while 53 people were arrested while attempting to leave the Kingdom illegally.

Protesters storm Saudi broadcaster MBC’s office in Baghdad over remarks against Iran-backed groups
Supporters of Iran-backed groups ransacked the Baghdad office of Saudi broadcaster MBC early on Saturday, a security source told The National, over a report that referred to commanders of Tehran-aligned militias as “terrorists”. More than 400 people entered the channel's office in the Al Jamia neighbourhood of the Iraqi capital after midnight. They started a fire in the yard before breaking into the building where they damaged equipment and furniture, a security officer with the Interior Ministry said. Iraqi security forces later sealed off the area, blocking all roads leading to the building, he said, speaking on condition of anonymity. There has been no official statement from authorities.

Iraq moves to revoke Saudi broadcaster’s license after report angered militia supporters
Iraq’s commission governing media announced Saturday that it would take steps to revoke the license of a Saudi television station to operate in the country. That came hours after dozens of supporters of Iraqi militias stormed and looted the office of the broadcaster, MBC, in Baghdad in protest over a report that described a number of Iranian-linked militant figures — including a prominent Iraqi militia leader — as “terrorists.” The report on “terrorists” who had been killed this century mentioned former al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden alongside a roster of Iran-backed figures.
