According to a 2014 Pew Research Center survey, younger Americans tend to offer less support for Israel than adults over 50. The survey found that “a 39 percent plurality of those over 50 say Israel’s response to the conflict has been about right, compared with 22 percent who say it has gone too far. Among those under 50, about as many say Israel’s actions have been excessive (29 percent) as appropriate (33 percent).”

Iran deal could start nuclear fuel race
With a late March deadline for an Iran deal approaching, Saudi Arabia last week signed a nuclear co-operation agreement with South Korea that included a plan to study the feasibility of building two nuclear reactors in the kingdom. Riyadh has also signed nuclear co-operation agreements with China, France and Argentina, and intends to construct 16 nuclear power reactors over the next 20 years.

Oil prices fell on Monday, with US crude dropping nearly 3% to a six-year low as the dollar hit fresh highs and spare oil storage capacity runs low around the world.
