Organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers in collaboration with the US Department of Commerce, the December 8th event focused on Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
‘The Federation of Saudi Chambers, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, organized the Saudi-U.S. Business Forum in Riyadh. The event was attended by Secretary-General of the Federation Walid Al-Arainan, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Alison Dilworth, and representatives from government and private sectors of both countries.
72 American companies participated in order to identify export opportunities in the Saudi market and potential investments in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 mega-projects, which span the energy, transportation, tourism, and healthcare sectors. One highlight was the projected $7 trillion in government spending through specialized development funds.
Trade between Saudi Arabia and the US was $34 billion in 2023 with Saudi Arabia’s leading exports to the US being mineral products and fertilizers, while machinery and mechanical appliances were among the top US exports to Saudi Arabia.
During the forum, a program under the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Saudi Arabia) focusing on Saudi-American cooperation was announced. This program is recognized as the second-largest of its kind globally.
